The Sameboat LAG is a bi-lingual non-goverment association who developes the rural areas of the Turku archipelago in Southwestern Finland. 

 

The area is comprised of 14 old municipal areas of which most municipalities are now part of larger municipal areas such as Westaboland and Kimitoisland.

 

The Lag was founden in 1996 to manage the Leader II program 1995-1999. The association also managed the Leader+ program in 2000-2006.

 

Sameboat LAG is currently managing the new rural program for mainland Finland 2007-2013.
